The Indianapolis Bar Association, with more than 4,000 members of the legal community, conducted a survey of those with direct professional contact with the candidates for Marion Superior Court on the November 2024 ballot. To gain IndyBar's recommendation to remain a judge the candidate had to have had at least 60% of respondents voting "yes" to the question, "Do you recommend (judge's name) for judicial office?" All 18 candidates have received a positive recommendation.
Additionally, the site includes the recommendations of the Marion County Judicial Selection Committee which were publicly released in March 2024. All candidates were reviewed by the Committee and all received their positive recommendation, as well. The Committee, created by the Indiana legislature, consists of 14 members for terms of four years: four attorney members appointed by legal associations, four members selected by legislative leaders, four members appointed by the chairs of both political parties (two appointments from each), one vice-chair, and one Supreme Court Justice who serves as chair.
